April 20th Leaving Ucluelet

Today we left and drove North to Campbell River ... slow drive with many stops along the way ... we took highway 19A I think it was, anyway the one along the coast ....

We will be in Campbell Tiver for approximately three days.

Tofino/April 19/2017

Some woke up today to heavy rain, but decided to make the trip to Tofino and see the famed Long Beach.

Stopped for breakfast as a very nice (tiny) restaurant and that was good. We drove around looking at the sites for an hour or so then went to the beach.

The weather started out not so good but improved we did put on high boots and winter clothing and ventured out. All in all we enjoyed this day ... bet a busy spot in summer months.

First Full Day in Ucluelet/April 18/2017

Looks like we did not pick the best time of year or at least best week looks like will be mostly a rainy time here.
Anyway we did get out and tour around took a few pictures.

One thing we notice as we sat here and watching the morning news, there are no A&W's or fast food places here or at least we have not seen any and also it is a good thing we have cell phones ... even in our room ... no phone and or switchboard ....

Here just a few of the many I took ... one thing we noticed was a lack of places open for a dinning experience ... we thought we would find a nice sea food place ... found one but not open till Wednesday and we will be gone by then.

So today even though pouring rain, we will take a drive to Tofino and have a look there.

Ucluelet Bound April 17/2017

left Merritt around 8:00 AM stopped at Scott's for a hour or so then off to the ferry (Tswwassen) without looking not sure on spelling lol. Sailing time was 3:15 PM  and the cross over was socked in and raining so no Photo Ops ... really pouring in Nanaimo so had dinner with Jason then said our good byes and Sandra, Pepe and I carried on to Port Alberni where we spent our first night on the Island (Best Western)

Got umbrellas with us but may invest in suitable rain gear 😊😎😍 ..... later my friends.....
