Caribbean Cruise with the Kids Nov/Dec 2014

       So we started off from Mission on the 21st of Nov, heading to Seattle Washington ... our start of 17 or so days of fun in the sun. Heather was our driver of choice as more used to the traffic and route, now of course someone should have told the American drivers that it is dangerous to talk on their cells while driving, as several times we were nearly sideswiped anyway we did make it without accident.

        Spent the night at a motel and in the morning shuttled to the airport and so the journey begins. Spent the next night in Miami and then the next day we boarded the ship Celebrity Eclipse ... and 14 days in the Caribbean begins.

Went well with weather around 85-95 degrees ... waters not too rough and the ports of call nice... ST Martens ... ST Kitts .... Barbados ... Aruba ... etc

I am sure the kids could have used more time by themselves and I and the wife did persuade them from time to time to venture out to the beaches by themselves ... we could not keep up with them anyway ... age thing.

Took some nice pictures ... drank a few drinks here and there on the ship mostly. I did upgrade to a higher booze package so I could partake of the Martinis that were available lol.

Overall we had fun although after 14-17 days we all were happy to get home ... too much to do and not enough time and cash to do it all. I think most holidayers fall into this category ... not sure what the answer is ...

Anyway the kids are off on another trip on march Hawaii ... they asked us to tag along I think we will butt out this time still paying off last trip ... they can and probably will have Heathers parents along with them ... would have like to make it with them and do the bonding thing ... maybe this summer we can camp with them ... hope so.

Thought I would add this picture to my Blog, its my brother coming in off the lake after a hard morning of trying to catch the ever elusive big one ... which he did not at this time.

Not much new here in Merritt just sitting here thinking on what to do this morning. Thinking nothing at this point lol ... might netflix a movie here in a bit.

This afternoon the final winterizing go 5th wheel .

To night my Canucks will be taking on the Montreal Canadians ... an old rival and on that is referred in Vancouver.

Merritt BC Oct 26/2014

Sitting here on a cool wet damp morning in the fall of the year. Dresses in my work clothing so to speak ... going to change over truck to winter tires and at same time will give it an oil change and some grease ...
Sandra made us a traditional bacon and egg breakfast this morning (very good) ... so I'm all fuelled up and ready to go ..

If it works out a few other things needed doing this day like raking up some leafs ... and winterizing the 5th wheel.

One of my friends (I think) drove by the other day and he had to stop and say Hi ... no choice  he knew I would see him as I was out in the yard raking leafs ... Oh well maybe I expect too much from my friends ... will try to mellow out myself and look to having more then one or two friends ...

So now getting close to out cruise around a month to go ... somewhere around third week in November .. I let the women make all arrangements lol ... so not sure on exact day. We are going to do the Caribean again this will be third time there although a longer trip (14 days) with different ports of call.

Feb. 7/2014 Merritt

Well the Olympics underway, lighting the torch as we speak ... Go Canada Go ...

Walked four miles on treadmill during the opening ceremonies ... a very long way to go to reach my goal and its hard to not eat and drink like really you want to lol ... And yup how will I look when all the weight is gone lol ... maybe have to do a Nip & Tuck to remove skin and wrinkles haha.

Been watching my Canucks play and for the last month or two they been in the basement, looking like they need a total rebuild hope this happens before they loose their last spot in the playoff race. I know not possible but perhaps one or two new players to spark the rest ... Go Canucks Go.

well may as well run to town and grab a hair cut ... might weight a oz or two less haha ...

Jan 26/2014 Merritt BC

Another day sitting down with first coffee of the day ... Sandra sitting opposite me with here coffee. Her eyes looking slightly better today, still looking like I hung a real licking on her lol (not so was an operation lol).
Had a pretty good day yesterday with my walking and watching somewhat what I eat ... dropped 2 pounds since last weigh in.

Bought A FITBIT step counter which logs your day .... steps etc ... and also logs your sleeping habits ... not sure how accurately although it has good reviews ... anyway owning one of these things seems to be a good motivator ... so far it is with me anyway.

January 25/2014 Merritt BC

Sitting up too early this morning ... Neither Sandra or myself can sleep.

Sandra had both her eyes operated on yesterday (cosmetic but needed) so she will be a week or so to get back to normal. Supposed to sleep upright in recliner for a day or two.

Me Just one of those crappy nights I guess.

Started my walking again yesterday ... almost 7000 steps which is over 3 MILES... got to get rid of some of this excess weight. Bought a count stepper to keep track ... works great.

Weather this year in the Nicola Valley unreal, as it is in the rest of British Columbia as well. Looked out the bedroom window this morning still dark but I could see the 5th wheel beckoning to me lol ... LETS GET OUT IN THE BUSH BUD LOL.....

Sandra put on the coffee ... too early but may as well huh ... OK all of your friends out there I am out of here for now.
